Not necessarily bad!

The Internet is ever changing and lots of years ago people have predicted that it will become a legitimate business tool.
Of course, as it is still fairly new, some business and marketing methods are still too young to be perfect. Web site promotion services are one of the more new things and as such, they may seem, in part, a bit weird to some - but the evolve really quickly. Web sites need attention and as anyone can create internet pages, there must be ways to tell the reader or customers "go here" or "this is good". using a professional to do this for the author might well be one of the best decisions the author makes.
