Articles Can Help or Hurt

I both use articles in my own sites and sometimes write them for others, and they can be great to get traffic as well as to engender good feelings about you from readers, but there is a pitfall or two.

I've dealt with site owners who care only about key words and traffic and who use worthless articles full of pointless keywords and mispelled ones to draw hits from search engines. These badly written pieces let me know the site owner is a fool and not terribly ethical. I will not patronize a site that puts out bilge just for traffic, and I know I am not alone.

Yes, use articles to get out your message and get visitors, but if you want serious buyers, use articles worth reading!
